Guerrilla Queer Bar at Gay Day at Elitch Gardens

From the Guerrilla Queer Bar in Denver website: "Billy Trix and friends got wet all over at Elitch Gardens water park as the second annual Wet and Wild Gay Day resurfaced on Saturday, August 21st. There was plenty of skin, sun and eye candy as we took over the water once again. After a wet day at the park, Billy and gang hit the after party at JR's bar & grill and soaked up several cocktails."

PrideFest Blog call for photos

Do you have fabulous photos of you and your family and friends enjoying PrideFest? Would you like to share them with the official blog of PrideFest and have them seen by thousands of people? Email them to drewdenver@aol.com along with any information or captions you would like to include and I'll make sure they get posted up for all to see.

I'll get the ball rolling with some of mine:

Here I am splashing in the fountain way in the background.

Not sure exactly what we were trying to accomplish here but everybody seems to be having fun.

Here I am waiting with my Out Front Colorado contingent for the parade to start. Judging by my outfit, it's 1997. Visor? Check. Oakleys? Check. Puka shell necklace? You know that's right.

Tearin' it up on the dancefloor after a couple cocktails.

Memories of PrideFest: The Rick Chris Archives

Rick Chris has some awesome photos from PrideFests gone by, stretching all the way back to 1984. It's great to see that Colorado LGBT institutions like the Denver Gay Men's Chorus (pic #1) and Dykes on Bikes (pic #2) have been around so long and are still going strong.

Welcome to Denver PrideFest 2008!

PrideFest 2008 is coming so mark your calendars for June 21 and 22 for Colorado's most fabulous event of the year!

Recognized as one of the top ten Pride events in the country, Denver's PrideFest is a celebration of community and culture. Produced by the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of Colorado, more than 210,000 people from Colorado and all over the world come out to enjoy the parade, rally, music, entertainment, food, and much more.

PrideFest 2008 will again be a two-day event, featuring Family Field Day on Saturday. In addition to the festival, there will be activities for kids, main stage entertainment, and a dance stage.

The Sunday PrideFest Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. sharp (set two alarms if you have to, we're not gonna wait for you) and goes gayly forward down Colfax Avenue with a cavalcade of floats from sponsors, non-profits, local businesses, organizations, and politicians.

Once the Parade reaches Civic Center Plaza, the festivities really begin! There will be several stages featuring music and entertainment all day long; there will also be booths with food and art and games and clothes and just basically a wonderful array of everything.

PrideFest is an event that grows bigger and better every year and celebrates community, heritage, and family. On behalf of The Center, I invite you to join the excitement. This June, you better come show your Pride!
