Denver PrideFest is working hard to go green this year so let's all be sure to help out and use public transportation, carpools, or our own two feet to get ourselves to the celebration whenever we can. Below are some helpful tips, the only kind Denver PrideFest deals in:
LIGHT RAIL
The D, H, & F line trains arrive at the 16th & California Station for an easy walk to the festival, or transfer to the free 16th Street Mall Shuttle to the festival. C & E line trains arrive at Union Station where it’s easy to transfer to the free 16th Street Mall Shuttle to the park. For more information, visit www.rtd-denver.com
BUSES
The following local bus routes have stops just a few blocks away from the festival: 52, 32, 28, 20, 16, 15, 12, 10, 9, 7, 6, 2, 1, and 0. For RTD Bus and Light Rail Schedules call 303-299-6000 or visit www.rtd-denver.com
BICYCLE
Avoid the hassle of parking your car, and park your bike instead! Please check back on the festival site as we are working to provide bike racks for easy “parking.”
PARKING
The Cultural Center lot offers affordable parking adjacent to the festival at 12th and Broadway. There are also several pay lots surrounding Civic Center park. Downtown Denver itself offers many parking spaces, most within an easy walk to the 16th Street FREE Mall Shuttle. After you’ve parked, just hop on the free Mall Shuttle towards Civic Center Station for a quick ride to the Festival. Parking can often also be found on Lincoln or Broadway 5 – 6 blocks south of the festival. Handicapped parking is
available at all public parking lots.
Getting to Civic Center:
The best way to get to Civic Center and avoid street closures is via Interstate 25, exiting at either Speer Blvd., proceeding South and turning East on 11th, then driving North toward the park on Lincoln – or exiting I25 at 6th Avenue, proceeding East, and turning North on Lincoln toward the park.
The following street closures begin Friday, June 20 at 7 p.m., and end Sunday, June 22, at 11:59 p.m. Not midnight, mind you, 11:59 p.m.:
Colfax: Cherokee to Lincoln
14th Ave: Cherokee to Lincoln
Broadway: 17th to 13th
Bannock: Colfax to 13th
14th Street: Court Place to Colfax
15th Street: Cleveland Place to Colfax
